Miami Trade Shows
Miami Trade Shows are held at The Miami Beach Convention Center
which is located in the heart of Miami Beach.
The Miami Beach Convention Center has hosted the Republican National
Convention from 1972, and recently, both the Republican and Democratic
National Conventions. Cassius Clay won his first title there in

In 1990 the facility doubled in size. With recent telecommunications
infrastructure upgrades an high-tech capabilities it is now a leader
in the meetings industry.
2001 saw new carpeting and a color upgrade to both the interior
and exterior of the building. Some major Miami Trade Shows held
at the Miami Beach Convention Center have included the Shriners,
NATPE for the television and movie industry, POW WOW for the travel
industry, the Professional Convention Management Association's Annual
Meeting, IAEM for the exposition management industry, and various
high-tech medical conventions.
Most notably, the inaugural Microsoft Global Briefing - July 2001,
a major sales and technology meeting of Microsoft employees worldwide,
utilized the entire Miami Beach Convention Center and Jackie Gleason
Theater. Major Miami Trade Shows also include the Fine Jewelry Show
(twice a year), Graphics of the Americas and Seatrade Cruise Shipping
Conference/Expo.
Popular annual consumer events include the Miami International
Boat Show, the South Florida Auto Show, Art Miami, Baby Faire, Home
Design and Remodeling Show and the Original Miami Beach Antique

Heading into the 21st Century, the Miami Beach Convention Center
continues to be a popular site for major Miami Trade Shows and Conventions,

Trade Show Marketing Tip
From here on in you are reading an excerpt from The
World's Most Powerful Trade Show Marketing Guide.
Plan Your Year's Announcements
One of the best reasons to attend a trade show is to make a product
announcement.
You have customers there. You have prospects there. You have strangers
(who may be qualified prospects there). Your business partners and
key suppliers may be there. You have media and analysts there. (this
is BIG) And, if you are good you have your competitors there (and
they are unprepared for your announcement!)
So shows are great places to make a product announcement or upgrade.
Every year at the CES Bill Gates make big announcements and has
the whole world focused on it.
Don't you think that his organization is working from the show
date backward in their planning.
If you plan to attend multiple shows make sure you make a list
of planned company milestones and announcements such as product
launch, merger/acquisition, market research, pricing action and
partner announcements.
Which ones match a show date?
Set your timeline and work from the trade show backwards.
